International students are allowed to work 20 hrs per week and full time during holidays.
Post-study work rights
There are four types of work permit to stay after graduation and work.
Type 1
You can obtain a short-term visitor visa after the expiry of your student visa. Short-term visa allows you to stay for 90 days in Singapore and search for a job. You cannot do any type of work while searching.
Type 2:
If your university is listed in the list of Higher Learning, then you have the option to apply for Long Term Social Visit Pass ( LTVP) which allows you to stay for one year, but it is not renewable.
Type 3
Employment Pass:
Most common visa to work in Singapore after graduating. You must have an offer with a salary minimum of $4,500 per month to be eligible for the above visa. This visa is mainly used by foreign Professionals to come to work in Singapore.
Type 4
S Pass:
Another common visa for international students to stay and work in Singapore. This is for middle-skilled employees. Should be a graduate in a relevant field with an expected salary of $2,500 per month.
In both types 3 and 4, the employer will sponsor your application.

Family
You may sponsor a family in Types 3 & at least two-years. Four family members may be sponsored provided your salary is $6,500 per month.
Pathway to PR
When you are working under an Employment pass or S pass, you may apply for Permanent Residency after living in Singapore for at least two years.
