Post-study work rights
There are four types of work permit to stay after graduation and work.
You can obtain a short-term visitor visa after the expiry of your student visa. Short-term visa allows you to stay for 90 days in Singapore and search for a job. You cannot do any type of work while searching.
If your university is listed in the list of Higher Learning, then you have the option to apply for Long Term Social Visit Pass ( LTVP) which allows you to stay for one year, but it is not renewable.
Most common visa to work in Singapore after graduating. You must have an offer with a salary minimum of $4,500 per month to be eligible for the above visa. This visa is mainly used by foreign Professionals to come to work in Singapore.
Another common visa for international students to stay and work in Singapore. This is for middle-skilled employees. Should be a graduate in a relevant field with an expected salary of $2,500 per month. In both types 3 and 4, the employer will sponsor your application. .
You may sponsor a family in Types 3 & at least two-years. Four family members may be sponsored provided your salary is $6,500 per month.
Pathway to PR
When you are working under an Employment pass or S pass, you may apply for Permanent Residency after living in Singapore for at least two years.
